Frequently asked questions.

The questions church and non-profit leaders ask us most, about software, fund accounting, Form 990, pricing and getting started.

Our response time for new organizations is one business day or less. Onboarding usually takes two to four weeks depending on the size and complexity of your church or non-profit.
We specialize in QuickBooks Online and Aplos. Both handle fund accounting well, and we help you choose and set up the one that fits your organization.
Yes. We migrate churches and non-profits to QuickBooks Online from Aplos, QuickBooks Desktop and spreadsheets, including modern bank and giving integrations. Migration is available with every service level.
Yes. As part of every engagement we close the two months before your start date. For records more than two months behind, we offer catch-up bookkeeping billed hourly, and we have brought organizations current that were years behind.
Fund accounting tracks money by purpose, keeping restricted and designated gifts separate from general operating funds. Churches and non-profits need it to stay transparent with givers and compliant with reporting rules. It is central to everything we do.
Most churches are exempt from filing Form 990, but many other non-profits are required to file, and some church-affiliated organizations are too. We keep your books 990-ready either way and work with your preparer at filing time.
Yes. Your records are kept ready for external audits or reviews, and we interact directly with your auditors or tax preparers. This is included with our Priority Bookkeeping and Fractional CFO levels.
Absolutely. Our Fractional CFO service includes budgeting, forecasting and strategic financial guidance, and budget variance analysis is included at the Priority level.
We are a specialized bookkeeping and fractional CFO practice, not a CPA firm. We keep your books accurate and audit-ready, and we coordinate directly with your CPA, auditor or 990 preparer.
No. We are based in Central Indiana and love serving local ministries, but our work is cloud-based, so we support churches and non-profits across the country.
Every restricted or designated gift is tracked in its own fund so you can report to givers exactly how their money was used, and so nothing is ever commingled with general funds.
Our service levels start at published monthly rates, and every engagement is scoped to your organization during the consultation. Catch-up work is billed hourly. There are no long, confusing contracts.
